Conversations with God – expressing their love and devotion to God. The Bhajan format branches into four directions of parts.

1. Updesh Wani: imparting knowledge or education through songs
2. Aagam wani: Songs about future – predictions
3. Aatam Wani: Songs of soul bringing awareness and self-knowledge about ourselves. Aaradhiwani falls under this category.
4. Avadh Wani: Also called as Ulte baat meaning contradictory talks. In these songs, one arrives at the truth by going against the grain – by contradicting the truths

In Kachchh, Bhajan’s are sung in one of the above formats / poetry, with 4-5 Folk Music artisans gathering at a place.
